Here’s a pretty good video overview of who should and shouldn’t use mediation that I found on YouTube. Now, keep in mind that this attorney is from Canada, but he is talking in general terms about things to look for if you think mediation is a good or bad idea for your case. These ideas apply across countries (I known, I know…he’s from Canada and this is MN Family Law blog) and topics (divorce, custody, parenting time, child support, spousal maintenance, etc.) so don’t worry about the fact that this guy is from a different country, just focus on the idea of resolving whatever dispute or disagreement you may have.
